Finding the Unexpected in Everyday Moments

I’ve embraced Sydney’s cooler weather and what better manner than in a Nordic Igloo? Having moved to Sydney almost nine years ago with a passion for photography and all-things-artsy, I took a leap of faith at 18 and made the big move to Australia. I picked up analogue photography as an elective during my studies in Design & Architecture and found comfort in capturing the beauty of simplistic everyday moments.

With digital photography, much of the image is altered through photoshop. However, with analogue photography, there is a profound beauty in its untouched form. When architecture got too demanding, I’d spend me-time locked away in the dark room developing my own photographs. With time as I graduated from University and work started to pick up, analogue photography became a hobby which I could only pursue on the rare occasion.

However, I’ve managed to rekindle my love for analogue photography with the Instax Square SQ6. There are no SD cards involved, no fancy filters or snazzy effects - beyond what you can do with old-fashioned light and film. The default is auto exposure, which is your basic point-and- shoot mode, with refinements designed to brighten both the subject and the background of your photos.

With square format, there's no need to waste a precious moment deciding whether to capture it in portrait or landscape anymore!

  • Automatic Exposure Control
  • Selfie Mode & Selfie Mirror
  • Macro Mode
  • Landscape Mode
  • Double Exposure Mode
  • Lighten & Darken Modes

The SQ6 also comes with 3 flash colour filters (orange, purple & green)  which can be attached to the flash. You simply clip it over the flash and are able to get a different coloured filter..
