Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, Thailand

Located on a hillside amongst a dense bamboo forest with a scenic view of Myanmar and Laos, is a the hidden gem - the Four Season’s Tented Camp. With a primary focus on its rehabilitated elephants, this was the main draw for my visit. For those looking to experience the surrounding area, there are off-site excursions such as day visits over the border to Myanmar or tailor-made Chiang Rai city tours. I spent a great deal of time at the tent - hanging out with their elephants and found so much joy during my short stay here!

The kind staff, in-room check in, cleanliness of the hotel as well as the elephants on the property made this stay so worth while! I can’t wait to visit again. Chiang Rai was a dream to visit. Thank you for the most perfect stay!

LUNCH

We made out way to Nong Yao Restaurant for both breakfast and lunch. The menus are changed daily showcasing local Thai, Burmese and Laotian specials as well as Western Cuisines. If you wake up at 8am you are able to feed the elephants delicious cucumbers! This was the highlight to my breakfast experience.

With just 51 guests at full capacity, and only one restaurant and bar, service is personal, intimate and understated with staff members going out of their way to remember individual preferences.

This luxury tented camp has a 19th-century safari-adventure theme, with handcrafted leather furnishings, hardwood floors, mosquito nettings and hurricane lamps. I loved the attention to detail with little elephant motifs found around the hotel, from the mugs to the chopsticks to the bath salts in the room!
