A trip to the Maldives is on many watch lists and rightfully so. The Maldives is a tropical nation in the Indian Ocean which is made up of 1,200 lush, coral islands. It's well known for its white-sand beaches, blue lagoons and extensive reefs. The Capital, Malé has a busy fish market, restaurants and shops on the main road, Majeedjee Magu. It is one of the world's most rare geographic reserves. 

I headed to the Maldives for a quick getaway with the family this December. Despite being known as a lovers' ultimate honeymoon destination I had plenty of fun going on adventures and immersing myself in cultural experiences with my seven cousins. Club Med have nailed the formula for a relaxing holiday on a tropical island with 5 star service.
