EAST Hotel, Hong Kong

After staying at the Upper House Hotel (you can read my review here) Sarah and I proceeded to check into East Hotel, a luxury hotel in Taikoo Shing, on Hong Kong Island. Located a quick walk away from the Taikoo subway station it’s about a 15 minute ride to Central Hong Kong. Upon our paperless check-in Sarah and I were shown to our open plan room with the most incredible views over the Hong Kong Harbour. The large glass windows allowed maximum natural light to pour into our room and created a bright and quiet space for us to wind down in.

The staff at East Hotel had left me a beautiful bag along with a delicious packet of mixed fruit and nuts and some delicious local desserts to snack on -I thought this was a beautiful welcoming touch. The green dinosaur artwork, hanging chair and spacious room made this the best space to rest up after a big day of exploring!

Meeting WE5

I was lucky enough to meet WE5 - otherwise known as β€˜Shibaland’ on Instagram. The owner otherwise known as β€˜grandpa’ by locals was so kind in letting me hangout with his family of Shiba Inu’s. We spent the afternoon exploring Hollywood Road and taking the dogs for a leisurely stroll!

Drinks at Sugar Bar

Sugar Bar is a classic rooftop bar located on the 32nd floor of hotel East Hong Kong. You get a perfect view of the Kowloon skyline! Sarah and I decided to visit the bar and invited my old University friend, Marc and his girlfriend Noel along for catch up drinks. The ambience was perfect paired with a delicious selection of tapas and an extensive drink menu. .
